I spy a half-eaten football

Seems Bo is missing his football. We have been outside less this winter than previous winters, anyone can guess why... the bitter cold, little toddler, the crazy wind! Seems he was swinging around the football and tossed it to himself, but it ended up in the tree! Bless him for trying to entertain himself

Clothes

Emily wants to manage her clothes. She wants them off, she wants them on, and she wants to do it herself. I don't have any problems with her new-found independence, she still doesn't have all of the cordination to do everything like put on her pants. Her frustration and temper get the best of her sometimes! --Oh by the way, bloggers spellcheck hasn't worked in ages, so mom, I am trying...

Valentine's Day

I last posted on the 13th so I thought I would tell you about our V-day celebration. Robert made me breakfast in bed, actually in Emily's room. Toaster Strudel. I love toaster strudel, if it was remotely good for me I would eat it daily. But since it is a very unhealthy breakfast or any meal for that fact I request it on my birthday and anniversary.

Emily recived a Pink bear in the mail from Grandpa Dan, Thanks!

We finished off our evening at Hickory Park, which is where Robert took me on our first date on Valentine's Day 10 years ago. Here is a picture of Emily and I after dinner.

Happy Valentine's Day

Daddy got me a new pink outfit for Valentine's Day. He knows just what little girls want!

Genius!

I can't take credit for this, I either read about it on the internet or somebody mentioned it to me. This occupied Emily long enough for me to cook the chicken and veggie's for our fajitas. Ingredients; one piece of construction paper, a brush and a little water. We hung the paper on the fridge to display, but it dried, so we can use again! I am always looking for little things to keep Em's attention long enough for me to prep dinner. Even with pre-planning and cutting I usually have to do something right at dinner time.

Cousin Ben and Emily

We went to a wedding in Kansas City last weekend. We got a chance to catch up with Pete, Jen and Ben our cousins. Here are a few pictures courtesy of Jen.

Elli the Elephant.

Her tag says Rosebud, but we call her Elli, specifcally Emily calls her Elli. Emily has taken a liking to Elli. Elli was given to her from Aunt Lynne and Uncle Greg the day Emily was born. She could have cared less about Elli the first 16 months of her life, but now she is a constant companion. In this picture Emily gave Elli a book to read, while Em reads my garden book. BTW anyone want to plan my kitchen garden for me, the above book had lots of pretty pictures but nothing practical!

Emily's First Taco

stuck, stuck, stuck

After almost three months of snow we still haven't been able to convice Emily she might have some fun with it. I think they say try introducing a food at least 15 times before a kiddo can take a liking, so we will keep putting Emily out in the snow, I know we haven't tried 15 times.

Today she wouldn't move a muscle, she stood stared at her feet and said repeatedly stuck, stuck, stuck...
