Emily reads

When Emily is done with a book she is reading at bedtime she hops out and puts it on the stairs.
Math has been a stuggle this year.  This is the second curriculum we have tried, and getting through the first half has been an accomplishment!
She has caught on to me snapping pictures of her book-reading, and I get this "look"

The latest hap's

 It's basketball season
 babysitting this sweet thing
 new hairstyles
Seeing this guy in print never gets old.  This is magazine number two, magazine #3 was a surprise and we are still expecting the spread that will feature the Chevelle
This little girl has taken to taking naps in her sisters bed
I made this cheery little heart bunting out of felt scraps I had on hand
Christmas arrived late, we decided we really NEEDED some delicouis beef jerky from our favorite meat locker.
I took this little gal out for a Fro-yo treat after her Festival piano performance.  Festival had her playing two memorized pieces for an audience of a Master Teacher who then gave her a private lesson afterwards.  I think she was nervous, her legs never stopped moving while she waited for the Master teacher to write, but she handled it quite well.
This little girl was through the moon excited at her first dance class.  She threw a whopper of a three year fit when it was over.  I don't think she quite understood why it only lasted 45 minutes and why a second class was going in when we had to leave.  And how do I explain we get to go back and do it all again in 7 days.
Day 6 of daddy gone, and mostly good behaviour for the week equated popcorn and apples for dinner in front of a movie!
