As of this weekend, my laptop is the photo laptop!!!! On top of that, both laptops and the desktop, aka the work computer are all backed up, and maybe our other desktop too? He did it all with our new Western Digital backup thingy (that is about all I know). Because he did it all!!!!
We ( I mean Rob) always backed up the computer 1x month, but with this new piece of hardware it is so much easier!
I always thought if we ever have a fire, I would get the kids out and safe (and dog), and then go back for the desktop tower, it has every picture from our entire marriage on it, I think it would be the one thing I would go get if I had time. Now it will be much easier to grab our little WD backup thingy, only one cord to disconnect, not the 10 plus that escape the back of the computer. Robert has all of his business documents on the "cloud", we debated going that way too, although eventually it is a tad more expensive. What does everyone else do?

Em's first bowling outing
We took our VEISHEA guests bowling Friday night. The guys were practicing with Alumni Groove, so Sara and I packed up the kiddos and went to the new Azeteca
and then to the Union for some bowling. It was great, we were the only people there bowling, there were about 4 students playing pool, but it was a great kid friendly crowd for VEISHEA at 7:00pm! The Union has toddler shoes starting at size 10, and bumpers to put up on the lanes. Sunday and Monday they have a $1/game special, in case anyone wants to invite us bowling!

Baby Kibbe the 3rd's first picture
Makeover, 1964 Chevelle style
These pictures are not in order, in fact I think they might be completely backwards.
The Chevelle came home the beginning of April. Yeah for one less storage payment! Robert has some pretty big goals for the Chevelle this year. You can read about them here, Rob has blogged about his engine re-do and the new transmission. The Chevelle is getting overdrive! Have you ever driven a car without overdrive? Now Robert won't have to either! And you might remember the engine was worked on last year, but if you read his blog you will discover why it is getting a tweak as well.
Easter dyed Eggs 2010
We dyed some Easter eggs a day or two before Easter. Emily has lots of fun doing this, and basically any and every other craft ever invented! She loved the colors and had a hard time decided what she was going to do with each egg. I think she was a little sad we only had about 18 eggs to dye, and they went a little too fast! Dallas wasn't feeling well, and didn't stay up for the festivities, maybe next year!
Community Supported Agriculture
Our first veggie share of the season
This year we took the plunge and took out a membership to a CSA, the local CSA is Farm to Folk. We are doing a small half share. We have already enjoyed three weeks of spring lettuce, spinach, and two weeks of radishes. Surprise both of my kids like radishes! The farmer delivers his produce to a local church and we go every Tuesday to pick up our share. If we can't use it you can place it on the share table, and are also free to pick up extras from the share table.
The cost is fairly minimum, I figured it would be about $12.50 a week for the summer. I have no idea what I spend on produce alone per week, as I don't break down my receipts by products. It will end up being less than $12.5/wk, because he started delivering produce in April instead of the estimated May! Overall, Robert and I were guessing money-wise it might be a wash (as in not saving us much), but we figured we would end up eating a lot more veggies this summer. We have so far!

Guest Post: Father Son Day - Lessons Dallas Taught Me
I spent an entire day with Dallas on Sunday, and it's (unfortunately) a really rare thing. We had a great time. Here are a few things I observed about my little guy, and these are lessons everyone can use:
- If you see something or someone you like, smile and laugh like it's the best thing that's ever happened to you.
- Snacks are good.
- If you're doing something that's really fun, keep doing it until it's not (or you get too tired to keep going)
- The thrill of chasing your 4-wheel push cart downhill always outweighs the terror of it.
- If you eat something that you don't like the taste of, or it's too hot or cold, just open your mouth and look down. Gravity will solve the problem.
- If you try really hard to catch your shadow, you can do it.
- Getting around on something with wheels is way more fun than walking.
- It is 100% possible to get by in life based on good looks alone. I'm not saying that it's a good plan, but there is no question that it's true.
- There's not a man on the planet that doesn't look a little bit cooler in a black cowboy hat
Thanks for the great day, Son. I'm looking forward to the next one.

Dallas goes to the hospital
Have any of you read Curious George goes to the Hospital, this tale is nothing like that, as it does not begin or end with eating a puzzle piece, at least one didn't show up on the chest x-ray! (beware - I wrote a lot, mostly as a record of the experience, so we would remember)
This is Dallas after all of the initial poking and prodding ended, he was so tired, and finally settled in for what was a restless nights sleep
The red bandage is where they took blood to run a CBC test, he has Oxygen going into his nose, with the tubes taped to his cheeks, he had leads from his chest monitoring his breathing and heart rate

His one little red sock taped on with the red tape was protecting his Oxygen monitoring sensor which was on his big toe
This picture shows the massive cribs they have!
Feeling better?
Why am I in here and why are you documenting this?

The crib rail comes up halfway and then you can lower down a plastic cover
Standing in my little green gown, pant less
Daddy's shoes made great toys!
I took Dallas to the Dr at 4:00 pm Thursday for an appointment. He had a runny nose, which I attributed to his two new teeth he was cutting, and had developed a cough. The cough went from ordinary to a wheezy, crackly sounding at every breath. Initial diagnosis was ear infection with possible broncheaitis. We did a breathing treatment, checked his Oxygen levels, went to get a chest x-ray, did another breathing treatment, more Oxy level checks, and then determined that over 60 breaths per minute was too many. He was given a shot of steroids, and we were sent to be admitted in the hospital. (this all took 2 hours)

6:00 pm we make it up to the Pediatric floor, all the rooms were full or being cleaned, we waited in the family waiting room. A nurse came to start the check in process then moved us to a temporary treatment room so Dallas could go on Oxygen. While we were being admitted, they did a nasal wash to check for RSV and took blood to check his white blood count. We were given a room and a mini hospital gown, and Emily and Daddy came to visit. Once in the room someone from the respiratory department arrived every 4 hours for a breathing treatment. A nurse gave a shot of antibiotics that burned (rocepherin I think?)
Dallas crashed, he didn't sleep well most of the night, Rob thinks he was confused and maybe having some nightmares.

Dr. Swanson came by to check on him in the morning. The oxygen was turned down to 50% and he ate the kid version of the tremendous twelve. Mid-morning they turned the oxygen off , to try room air. The goal was to watch him while he napped to see how he did. The first nap his level kept dropping below 90, so they turned the 50% oxygen back on. We tried again after lunch to nap without oxygen and from 2:30 - 3:30 Dallas was successful. Dr. Swanson stopped by right at the end of nap to witness it and said we could go home. We were home by 5:20 and he was sleep in his room by 5:55. I am looking forward to seeing how tomorrow goes, as we have fun plans for Sunday. He is not considered contagious, so if things go well I hope to make it to church and out to see family!
