Teething Biscuits

Can you even see the biscuit in between those paws, he is hiding it from me, like I want to touch that goey thing!
Post biscuit (and he only sucked on 1/8 of it!)Tonight was Dallas's first go at a teething biscuit. I went with mothers instinct here, the Ped said to hold off on Cheerios's and such until eight or nine months, but he seems so hungry and eager at dinner. He does not have the pincer grip yet to work cheerios, he tries his hardest to pick up little pieces of fruit off his tray, but he just cannot do it yet. He loves to eat them if you put them in his mouth.
I love these biscuits. I used to buy them for Emily. I believe they come in one other flavor as well, I got them at Wheatsfield, the co-op in town. They run about $2.30 for a pack of twelve. I keep them in the freezer, and re-freeze the portion that is gnawed on for another snack.

Emily is three!
We had a busy weekend, we celebrated with our small group from church and family on Sat., Robert worked Sunday so he could have Monday off to be with Em on her birthday. We had a great time, went to the park, went to the grocery store for the first time (all four of us), went swimming and went to Hickory Park for dinner. And guess who was sitting at the booth across from us, my favorite Midwife, the one who delivered Emily. It was eerie, they sang to Em at her exact birth time and with the midwife looking on!
Special thanks to Sarah, who took all the awesome pictures, a great friend that understands being camera free to take it all in!

Storytime at the Library bus
During the summer and the summer reading program, they have outdoor story time while the bus is at St. Cecila's church. We usually go if the kiddo's are up and done napping by 3:00 (start time).
From the mouths of babes
It was a tad chilly this morning, so Em opted for capri pants, which she calls her gym pants, and I put a hoodie on Dallas and then off to the gym we went.
Emily had her purse (complete with tinker bell cell phone), teddy bear and blanket. She always wants to take things to the gym, we pile them into the car and then when we arrive I remind her that there are other kids in the nursery and babies and that if she brings her stuff inside she will have to share. She always opts to leave them in the car. This morning, I was putting her in her car seat, and the following ensued...
Em "mom, can you hand me my purse, my phone is ringing"
Me "ok", I finish up, hand her the purse and get into the drivers seat
Em "Hello, ok, E - M - I - L - Y (spelling her name), yes on Johnson St." " ok, bye"
I wonder was she ordering a pizza, she knows how to spell her name and her address, so that wasn't surprising, but the conversation of using them on the phone was hilarious.
