We stopped by Financial Peace Plaza and met a guy that changed our lives. Dave Ramsey!
Rob has been to his headquarters twice before. We did not know he was going to be there, I figured he would be at his lake house, after all he has a studio there too. But we rolled in listening to him on the radio and low and behold he was in studio. He has glass windows into the studio so you can see him at work while in the lobby. During a break he came out and we got to have a photo op, and he chatted with us and the kids a tad, asking why we stopped by and where we were from. Often people come to Financial Peace Plaza to shout "I'm Debt Free" on the radio live. In the lobby across from the studio there is a little book store and coffee shop. The books you have to buy, but the treats and any coffee treat you want is free. We shared a hazelnut latte and it was delish. The kids had juice!
Robert took counselor training almost 6 years ago now, and although he is no longer helping people with their financial health as a business, it was the start of his itch to work for himself. We didn't use the Dave Ramsey method to get out of debt, we did it a harder way, it has changed our lives, and we do live by his methods now. Can't say enough great things about Finacial Peace. We still teach at church to engaged couples going through pre-marital counseling, best gift ever!
