January 2021

A couple heafty snowfalls led to a fun creation in the yard
Noelle thought it would be a great idea to store snowballs in the freezer for summer use
Dallas and Robert went to Pella for Dsylexia determination and brought me back my favorite childhood cookie from Jarsma Bakery
Robert traveled with a friend to pick up his brand new Corvette from the factory. He had ordered a 2020, but you know the drill by now, COVID messed that up. So a 2021 model it was. Robert helped drive it home to Iowa from Kentucky.
Dallas played a lot of basketball in January. Robert and I got flat butts!

Escape to Sabula, IA - Iowa's only island on the Mighty Mississippi

June 2020 trip
In a great desire to leave Covid craziness in our house in Ames, we rented an Airbnb for the weekend in Eastern Iowa.

Sunset on the Mississippi
We hiked on the IL side of the Mississippi. Noelle found someone's leftover bouquet on this lookout.

We drove up to Galena for some ice cream. You could not eat in any business. We happened to be in Galena the very first day they were allowed to open back up. All the cute shops were scrambling to open outdoor dining.
The house we rented, floated. Robert figured it was a repurposed gas or tackle filling dock. It had no motor, but it was fully floating on the dock.
The upstairs had four single beds in an open loft.
Dallas prefers to sleep closer to us, so couch on the main floor was his spot.
We stopped at the Field of Dreams on the way home. The kids have never been.
