Everything but the chicken was from the Johnson garden, thanks for sharing!

 First day of preschool
I occasionally see my old car around town.  I know the owner lives in Story City and only comes to Ames to shop at Fareway, which is where I have seen it twice.  Still looks good, although I think she has run into a couple things in the last three years.
Noelle posing in her birthday dress from Aunt Lynne, it was worn 3 times the first week.
Noelle passed out on my laundry pile wearing another birthday dress picked out by her brother.

Tweleve things

1.  I am such an infrequent blogger these days, nearly all of my friends have abandon blogging over the past year.  I understand why, but I am not a scrapper, I got worse with each kid at keeping up on the baby journal, and who even prints pictures these days.  I must type on!  My sister said once referring so a TV show on NBC about the future world apocalypse "that our generation wouldn't have any pictures to show anyone, without electricity we wouldn't be able to turn on our phone, ipad, laptop, etc. to show people pictures of our family".

2.  Dallas has started preschool.  He likes it, especially when he is done.  We are still working on drop-offs.  He tells us about all the fun things he does there, and that he made a buddy named "Ben"

3.  The house is SO quiet when he is at school.  I mean, I wonder that is what my life would be like if I didn't home school.  Noelle still naps in the afternoon when D is gone, and Emily and I have the run of the place to ourselves.

4.  Rob and I had a recent three day virus that I will lovingly refer to as the "master cleanse".  I assumed we might have gotten some food poisoning from tailgating Saturday, but I guess something similar has been hitting up Amesites.   Rob had the works, chills, fever.  I just had a case of the "can't get of the toilet".

5.  Also it is super awesome that in situations such as #4, I rarely ever get to go to the bathroom by myself.  Most popular place in the house if I am in there.

6.  We have a new niece/cousin in the family.  April and Mark welcomed Audry Elise into the world last Thursday.  She is precious, and perfect.

7.  We watched the Brown's dog while they were in the hospital, and then when we sent Riley home we picked up another friends dog for the week.  I do enjoy having a dog in the house.  I do still enjoy when they are not here as well.

8.  Emily has started most of her enrichment classes last week.  She is taking PE, Spanish and art on Mondays and Tuesdays.  We also attend Classical Conversations on Monday.  Dallas is sitting in the class with us this year and Noelle is attending the childcare.

9.  We are finally getting rain today, yeah!

10.  My garden has been dismal this year.  I am really considering ending it early and overseeding the spot with grass.  I should just piggyback on Greg and Chelsey's garden.  Maybe I can weed once or twice a month for them next summer.

11.  I just finished the show Sherlock, BBC shows are so great.  I now have to wait for season 3 to air and then appear on Netflix.

12. Emily is currently in gymnastics.  I am amazed at the things she can do, I never properly learned to do a cartwheel, so I am glad she is learning this stuff.  Her handstands are getting good!

Cyclones lose, but we had fun tailgating

This is how you tailgate when it is 104 degrees

Emily loves perfecting her cartwheel.  Gymnastics starts tomorrow.

Look who is Three!

Birthday breakfast date with dad.  I love that Rob always takes time off of work to spend with the kids on their birthday.  It was especially nice today since we had our first day of CC, Noelle got to spend the morning with Robert instead of in childcare.
Swinging at the park, her favorite

Noelle requested a Minnie Mouse Party, well at least her siblings encouraged her to choose this theme.
Noelle did insist on a blueberry cake.  This is the first cake I have ever made from scratch.  They just don't make blueberry cake mixes.  The cake had three layers, and was filled between layers with lemon curd.  Everyone seemed to like it.  I don't prefer cake, so I am not sure how it ranked.
These were an easy cookie to assemble.  Oreo's and white chocolate.

So excited about her twirly dress Grandma made
