Spring Piano Recital

Emily played two songs.  The first song Rescue the Kitty was composed by her, "E. R. Kibbe"!

The results from the Practice-a-thon, over $5700.  The studio was aiming at $3000, so this was a big blessing.  Friendship Ark will get to finish and furnish the entire basement.  Emily raised just shy of $100, practicing 95 minutes.  She surpassed her goal of $50.  Emily also received an award for memorizing over 10 songs for her repertoire.

sore legs....

I'll tell you what wasn't the greatest idea.  My workout this morning.  Walking weighted lunges, bridges, back extentions, and wall squats.  This combined with sitting driving almost 6 hours following this workout, not the brightest!

Tooth #9

Tooth #9 came out an hour ago during a wrestling session with Dallas.  There was a lot less drama associated with this loss.  She blames Dallas for it falling out.  I did not realize it was "that" wiggly.  I guess we'll wait for number ten, the other part of the bottom eye tooth set. 

Tooth #8

Emily's eigth tooth fell out during lunch, her first bite into a mini pizza we made.  We found it among some cheese on her plate.  I think she is really worried about swallowing teeth.  I had to go through the partially chewed contents of her mouth for her!

Emily and daddy all ready for the dancing and sugar.  This years theme was "Back to the Hop"  I repurposed an existing outfit for her.  Adding a pink poodle to a skirt with a black lace overlay.  I curled Emily's hair for the first time.  She looks quite stunning with curly hair, each curl popped out with a different hue of red and shine.  We also did hot pink polish with a glitter layer on top for her nails.  Hope they have fun, Rob will have his hands full next year.
